Foti Kallergis revealed on his Facebook fan page he is joining KTRK abc13 as a reporter:

I'm extremely honored to announce that I have accepted a TV Reporter job at Houston's #1 news station, KTRK ABC-13. I always dreamed of reporting in my hometown, so this is a major career accomplishment. It's also a full-circle moment because I started my TV News career at Ch.13 as an intern. I feel honored and blessed to have this opportunity, and I can't wait to serve my hometown.

My first day at ABC-13 will be on Monday Sept. 30th. I will keep you up to date on which newscast you can catch me reporting in everyday.

According to intrepid Austin TV writer Gary Dinges, Kallergis left his reporting/fill-in anchor job at Fox 7 KTBC in early 2012 to work as President of Marketing/Publicity and CEO at Silver Whisk, an Austin-based cooking school he ran with his wife, Myrna.

The TV bug was too much to overcome for Kallergis, because he temporarily returned to Austin TV to anchor mornings at KVUE this past March for three months (maybe we will see him behind the KTRK anchor desk too).

According to his LinkedIn profile, Kallergis has also worked at KFDM in Beaumont.

In addition to TV and the culinary world, Kallergis is also "an experienced celebrity publicist and strategist" according to a press release issued to the Austin media in 2012.

As Kallergis noted, he starts at abc13 KTRK September 30th.

UPDATE
Kallergis gave me an update on Twitter, "I'm no longer the owner of that cooking school (the ex-wife is), and I'm a single father now."

He also added this KTRK reporting job is a temporary one.
