Oprah to air Joel Osteen interview with tough questions

OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network contacted me about a show it has coming up this weekend because of the Houston subject matter.

Joel Osteen and Lakewood Church will be featured in a one-hour interview on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” this Sunday, January 8 at 8pm on OWN.

It just so happens I watched the “Oprah’s Next Chapter” episode where Winfrey interviewed Aerosmith's Steven Tyler (the new show's premiere). It was the first interview I've seen Tyler do where he wasn't in total rock star character.

Back to the Osteen, the network tells me Oprah traveled to Houston to meet Pastor Osteen and observe his service at Lakewood Church along with approximately 13,000 attendees. Oprah then joined Osteen and his wife, Victoria, for lunch at their home, marking the first time they have opened their home to outside cameras.

Oprah spoke with the Osteen's about faith, marriage, power and ego. In this preview clip, Oprah flat out asks Osteen how he keeps his ego in check and where the money comes from to furnish the family's nice looking lifestyle.
