KPRC 2's Dominique Sachse and Nick Florescu's new wedding plans
Love is in the air for KPRC 2 anchor Dominique Sachse. The Queen of the Houston social scene reporting, Shelby Hodge, is reporting that Sachse is engaged:
It's official: KPRC Ch. 2 news anchor Dominique Sachse and international businessman Nick Florescu, a steady duo for more than a year, are engaged. Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome popped the question to the native Houston beauty last week on the last night of a holiday in Rome.

No exact date is yet set but Dominique says only half joking that it will probably have to be planned around sweeps and hurricane season, which means March, April or early June of next year. The crux is to convince KPRC management to let Dominique's co-anchor Bill Balleza and meteorologist Frank Billingsley and herself all be off at the same time. READ THE FULL DETAILS
Some of you will know how TV bosses can be about vacations crossing into sweeps and hurricane season.
As for Nick Florescu, all I know about him is from the Internet. Described as a businessman, Florescu has been mentioned in Hodge's columns before (back to her Houston Chronicle days). Another page says he is the Honorary Consul General for the Consulate of Romania.

ReplyDeleteDominique is a beautiful woman and mother. She is a professional who appears to have taken care of herself--who has NOT, as some have claimed, to have had "procedures". (There are some pretty vicious comments on here by people who apparently have nothing better to do than tear someone down--which usually indicates jealously on someone's part.) Her new husband is NOT a great deal older than her (do your homework, people. Look at the pictures of the ceremony). The event was NOT a "royal wedding" but a quiet affair in a home. You vipers need professional help. And Jesus.

DeleteThe wedding wasn't exactly a "quiet" affair though. Not many of us have food catered from a restaurant in Cal. and DJs flown in from Europe for a quiet affair of 300 folks. Why not have local services for food and entertainment?
If you have haters you are doing something right. That is something to take note here. Although I don't know why she is marketed as a "hometown girl" when she was born in the Atlanta area, I don't think it's her fault, but it's a big mistake.
